Do You Know The Importance Of Keywords?
The keyword density and its position are crucial things to keep in mind when optimizing your articles for Google. Search engine spiders crawl your article in a style that makes it very important to place your keywords where they’ll be recognized and detected as a keyword, so that the article you publish will display in the search results when someone types in that keyword.
Keyword. What is it?
A keyword makes up a certain word that you place in your article several times. Once a search engine spider scans your article and finds that you have a word based in your article multiple times, it will determine that your article is helpful to search engine users that are searching that word.
Optimizing your article too much
Keep in mind that there is a way to over optimize your article. It’s called ‘keyword stuffing’. If you stuff your keywords throughout the article, the spiders will recognize that you are trying to trick them into scanning all your keywords so that you can rank high in the search results for that search term. As a result of doing this, you won’t be found high in the search engines and your article may get removed from the search engines and even banned. I suggest not practicing this method.
Keyword Density
Keyword density equals the number of times you’ve placed your keyword in your article. Typically, writers go by a percentage to determine how many times they will place a keyword in their article. Let’s say you wrote a 1000 word article and you want to gain a 4% keyword density; you will need to put your keyword in your article 40 times. My personal preference is to never go less than 3% and no higher than 5% for my keyword density. Keep in mind, you will come across many resources on the web that tell you that you should use ‘x’ amount of percentage than another along with a good reason to go with it, but at the end of the day, it’s your call. Use what works best for you so long as you aren’t keyword stuffing.
The Percentage of Density
No matter what density percentage you pick, remember that it’s vital to place your keywords in the beginning as much as the end of your article so that you can create an hour glass effect. Just keep in mind that having the right keyword density in your article will most likely result in that article making you money because it will be placed high in the search engine results and attract more interested readers.
As long as you follow the guidelines in this article for your article marketing, you should have no problem making money and gaining top search engine positions. Also consider submitting your article to several article directories so that you can dominate the search engine rankings and gain lots of readers’ attention.
