If you want to lose weight, then I’ve got some great news for you. I’ll show you some simple exercises that will not only get you in slim, sexy shape, but will also skyrocket your metabolism to burn fat off like never before.

The first step is to realize the different types of exercise. There is aerobic, and anaerobic. Aerobic is when you are doing long term exercise. Running, cycling, swimming and walking are all aerobic exercise. These burn calories while you are doing them, which is why they are the natural and automatic choice for people that want to lose weight.

The second kind of exercise is the short, quick, burst of energy kind. Sprinting, weight lifting, running up stairs are examples of this. This burns only stored blood sugar. You can only do these until you run out of breath. People usually shun these because you can only do them for a short time, so people are under the impression that you can’t burn fat doing them.

But there is a mistake in thinking that running or cycling is the only way to lose weight. What people overlook sometimes is that when you do short, high intense exercises, these will build up your muscles, which in turn will increase your metabolism. And a higher metabolism means more fat burning, all the time.

If all you do is long, slow exercise like running and cycling, you won’t increase your resting metabolism by very much. In fact, you may actually decrease it, as your body becomes much more efficient in burning calories, so it may actually reduce the amount of food you need to eat.

When you combine both of these, you will see the maximum benefit. By doing weight training, or body weight exercises you can increase your fat burning metabolism. And by running, you can supercharge this. Some people choose to do one kind one day, and the other kind the next day. Others forge ahead and do both, every day.

Whichever method you choose, by combining these you are sure to maximize your weight loss efforts. Before you know it you will have a lean, sexy body and will be the envy of all your friends.
